Wuthering Heights is a deeply tragic work.It is the only novel of Emily Bronte. What’s more,it is also made into the film at last.It is a tale of a love that is stronger than death,in which the hero of the novel Heathcliff and Catherine’s strong love is the theme of the story. The love between them is far beyond any kind of worldly love. Although the love between them was regarded as romantic love, it is a spirit rather than a romantic love. Their love for each other is not a kind of happiness, but a great pain. They are not talking about living together but died together. Their love is so strong, so sincere.
Heathcliff ‘s love for Catherine is a natural love, original love, the spirit of love, the love of soul. When Catherine betrays her own nature and married with Edgar Layton,Heathcliff to Catherine’s love make him loath anyone except Catherine. In this way, Heathcliff lives in a dark world,and his heart is filled with pain and hatred for the loss of life’s spiritual pillar. Catherine Layton’s love is another romantic elements in the novel.she and Layton’s love is nature love of hot and short , in the entire novel she and Hatton’s love is the only perfect ending, their love is simple and happy,show us what’s the eternal love.These are just my opinions,as a matter of fact,everyone has their own ideas and thoughts,different people have different opinions on the same thing,what’s more,we can learn much more things from all the film and also see our real life ,we all know the film is the reflect of our life,maybe in the film,we can see ourselves in the life,and the most important is that we can learn much more in the film and also avoid a lot of mistakes in our daily life,so we can say the film is our life to a certain degree.
